100 years ago, the first commissioner of the Canadian Parks service, J.B. Harkin wrote:Wonder, reverence, the feeling that one is nearer the mystery of things-that is what one feels in places of such sublime beauty.

In the Spring, Summer & Fall of 2011

Come celebrate the centennial of the world’s first national parks service, and also celebrate 125 years of adventure, art and science in Yoho and Glacier National Parks.

There are many exciting Centennial Celebrations taking part across Canada in the over 200 national parks, national historic sites, and national conservation areas.

The Friends of Yoho National Park will be celebrating the 125 years of Yoho National Park with many events throughout the summer and fall of 2011. Check back often for updates on the events.
