Commemorative Bench Program
The
Friends of Yoho National Park provide a means for individuals,
businesses or organizations to honour the memory of a friend
or loved one and/or to celebrate their connection with Yoho
National Park.
Commemorative benches may not be used for advertising and
other business promotion; however businesses may purchase
a commemorative bench to commemorate an employee or other
individual.
The inscription on commemorative plaques is subject to the
approval of the Friends of Yoho National Park and Parks Canada,
and will not contain corporate/business logos.
Final bench locations are also subject to approval by Parks
Canada.
The cost for a standard 6’ log bench with a cast bronze
plaque is $4,000.00; but does include delivery, installation and
maintenance for 10 years.
Funds raised by the Friends of Yoho are used to support Parks
Canada’s mandate for the protection, preservation and
interpretation of natural and cultural resources in Yoho National
Park.
Donations to the Friends of Yoho are tax deductible and income
tax receipts are issued for each individual donation.
While the commemorative bench program is promoted and available
year round, the installation of benches will take place only
between late May and late September. It will take approximately
six to eight weeks from the date the order is placed and a
50% deposit is received, before the bench is installed.
